And the Winner is SWEET RIDES!

Sweet Rides recruited more than 10 people to their team, many of them first time riders and will receive up to 30 custom jerseys from Giordanato help their team look their best at the ride this year.  Who are the Sweet Rides?

Team captain Tracy Begley started the team last year with friend Nadine Wall.  Less than a year before, Nadine had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had already undergone surgery to remove the nodules and cancerous lymph nodes.  Ready to do something positive for Nadine and others battling cancer, the team formed a 24 Hours of Booty team in Atlanta, GA.

In 2010 they raised $7,853, much of that through a glow stick luminary fundraiser.  At night they lit the hundreds of glow sticks, each carrying a name in honor or in memory of a cancer survivor.

Just before the event last year Nadine commented, “I anticipate laughs, tears, joy and life change.  I want to leave changed and I want others to leave changed.  My goal is to inspire, to show people that even though we travel through these valleys, these trials, that there is treasure to be found.”

Great job to Tracy, Nadine and the rest of the Sweet Rides crew.  We can’t wait to see the design you come up with!

Thanks to the other teams who worked hard this week.  Team Pirate Treasure, the Krased Marauders, Social & Scientific Systems, Team Collin, Team Spirit 2011 and team +one all recruited at least 5 riders for their teams.  We had more than 110 people register!

If you’re looking for more chances to win, don’t worry – there’s another Prime right around the corner.
